Product Description
OHIO LONG RIFLE Antique John BRIGHAM Half-Stock .36 Caliber American Cap
Kentucky Style HUNTING/HOMESTEAD Long Rifle
Here we present an antique John Brigham Half Stock Percussion Long Rifle, made circa the mid-19th Century in Ohio. Its stout octagonal barrel is in .36 caliber, large enough to take small to medium sized game or to defend the homestead against unwanted aggression. John Brigham worked as a rifle maker and farmer in Jerome Township, Union County, Ohio circa 1850-1880.
The overall condition is good. The action functions fully, but the hammer does have some extra side to side wiggle. The bore has darkened, but remains in good shape for its age. A crack is present around the wrist and does show movement when slight pressure is applied. Legible markings.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 35 inches.
Caliber: .36 Percussion
Overall condition as seen in photos.
