Here we present a .50 Caliber Slug Rifle. This rifle was NMLRA Hall of Famer Phil Orem’s. Phil was inducted into the HOF posthumously in 2002 and was a champion slug gunner. We believe that Harry Rife was the rifle’s maker. The barrel is stamped with these names as well as “C. TURNER/OTWAY. O”.
This rifle weighs in at 37.3 lbs, featuring a 42-3/8” octagonal barrel in .50 caliber. The false muzzle adds about 1-1/4 inches. Very nice, full-length stock with some handsome figure and well-shaped. Brass butt plate. Double set triggers are very crisp and light.
The overall condition is fine. Original blue finish. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and the action is excellent. The stock shows use and remains in great shape.
