Product Description

ESSEX Frame /COLT Slide Model 1911A1 .45 ACP MATCH Pistol Stippled

Custom Built Competition Pistol

Here we present an Essex/Colt Model 1911A1 Competition Pistol. Essex Arms was a maker of cast frames and slides. Essex never made complete firearms, only parts that were assembled primarily by gunsmiths.

This pistol features an Essex frame with a Colt slide. The frame has been aggressively stippled for good purchase. The sights are adjustable. The seller said this one was built, along with some others, for a US military shooting team in the late-1960s.

The overall condition is near fine. Excellent action. Bright bore with nice rifling. The grips are in fine shape and the checkering remains sharp. Clear markings.

This firearm is classified as a Modern.

Barrel is 5 inches.

Caliber: .45 ACP

Overall condition as seen in photos.

Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL.
