c1899 MARLIN 1893 Lever Action Rifle .38-55 BLUE w/ CASE COLOR FINISH   C&R

Marlin’s First Smokeless Powder Rifle

Here we present a C&R J.M. Marlin Model 1893 Rifle in .38-55 WCF, made circa 1899 in New Haven, Connecticut. Marlin Firearms was founded in the 1870s by John Marlin and was one of Winchester’s biggest competitors for the lever action market in the late-19th and into the 20th Century. The Model 1893 represents Marlin’s first smokeless powder lever action rifle. It features a solid top frame with side ejection and a smooth action.

This one was finished with blue barrel and magazine tube with case colored receiver.

The overall condition is near fine. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The walnut stock is in great shape. A very nice rifle in the great .38-55!

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
