Here Ancestry Guns presents a C&R Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Top Break Safety Automatic Hammerless Double Action C&R Revolver in .32 Centerfire, made circa 1897 to 1908 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The production run for this revolver was 1897 through 1941. The First Model was produced between 1895 and 1896, with the Second Model produced between 1897 and 1908. The Third Model, AKA the “New Model”, was produced between 1909 and 1941.

Iver Johnson was a U.S. firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1871 to 1993. The company shared the same name as its founder, Norwegian-born Iver Johnson (1841–1895). Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The revolver was a small, sturdy, well-built self-defense weapon, ideal for potent conceal and carry in the early years of the tumultuous 20th Century continuing into and beyond the Roaring Twenties.

The overall condition is good. Strong action. This example has been refinished. Bright bore with crisp rifling. Both grips are very good. Markings are legible.
