World War II POLICE MARKED German MAUSER Model HSc 7.65x17mm .32 Pistol C&R
EAGLE/L with Altered Leather Shoulder Holster
Here we present a German Police Marked Mauser HSc Pistol made circa 1945 in Oberndorf, Germany. The Mauser HSc is a 7.65x17mm pistol introduced in Third Reich Germany during World War II and manufactured until 1977. The designation HSc stood for Hahn Selbstspanner (“self-cocking hammer”) Pistole, third and final design “C”. It has a semi-exposed hammer, double-action trigger, and a single-column magazine. The Mauser HSc was originally intended as a commercial pistol, but quickly gained military acceptance. It competed with the contemporary German Walther PPK and PP and Sauer 38H for police and military use.
It has a sleek design that is quite small but provides a nice full grip. The take down is very simple and clever, with the latch hidden inside the front of the trigger guard. The pistol bears the German proof marks “Eagle/N” (right muzzle end of the slide) and “Eagle/L (left side of the trigger guard). The left side of the slide bears the “MAUSER” makers mark as well as “MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF a.N./MOD. HSC KAL 7.65mm”.
The overall condition is fine. Original finish. Excellent action. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. The holster is one modified to be a shoulder holster and it is in good shape.
