Here we present a World War II Era Paul Weyersberg & Company Officer’s Sword, made circa the World War II era in Solingen, Germany. Since 1883, Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. (WKC), has been manufacturing military swords and cutlery in Solingen, Germany. Today, as the oldest and largest military sword manufacturer in Germany, this family-owned business is the leading supplier to military schools and services worldwide for ceremonial military swords, including the military academies in the United States.
This example has a dove head finger guard with portepee and under tunic webbed belting. The overall length is 37-1/2 inches with the blade measuring 32-3/4 inches.
The overall condition is near fine. Solid hilt, straight blade, bright nickel finish. The scabbard is in good condition with some thinning finish throughout.
