Product Description
Waffenfabrik Bern SWISS K31 STRAIGHT PULL Bolt Action 7.5x55mm C&R Rifle
Switzerland Made MILITARY RIFLE Model 1931
Here we present a C&R Swiss Model K31 Straight Pull Bolt Action Rifle, made circa the mid-1940s by Waffenfabrik Bern in Bern, Switzerland. The design was conceived under the direction of Colonel Adolf Furrer and was adopted in 1931, hence the designation. More than 580,000 K31 rifles were made between 1933 and 1958, and many stayed in reserve store until the 1990s.
They have a reputation among shooters for being very precise, reliable, and accurate, with the ability to fire quickly. One of the most unique and differentiating features of the K31 is the straight pull bolt with the “beer keg” bolt handle. Instead of unlocking the bolt by pivoting the bolt by its handle, the shooter simply pulls straight back on the handle. The muzzle is crowned, contributing to accuracy. The front sight is a straight blade and the rear a long-range leaf.
The overall condition is very good. Original blue finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. Stock shows much use and remains solid. Import marked on the side of the barrel. Numbers match throughout.
