Here we present a C&R Husqvarna Single Shot Bolt Action Rifle, made circa the early 1950s. This Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB. was made in Sweden. Vapenfabriks loosely translates to weapon factory or fabrications. The “AB.” designation is an abbreviation for Aktiebolag, which means “limited corporation,” similar to our LLC. Established in 1689, Husqvarna has made, through its colorful history, everything from black powder musket barrels to motorcycles, stoves, and sewing machines. Over the years it manufactured wartime fighting rifles as well as a spectrum of Mauser-actioned hunting rifles based on several different surplus military and commercial actions. Eventually, the company began manufacturing its own Mauser-pattern actions in the mid-1950s.

The overall condition is very good. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with great rifling. The stock is smooth and solid. The top screw in the butt plate has a bit of rust. A nice single shot squirrel rifle for the woods or the range. 13 7/8” LOP.
