DOUBLE ACTION Hammerless S&W CONCEAL/CARRY Handgun
Here Ancestry Guns presents a Modern Smith & Wesson Model 940 Hammerless Double Action Snubnose Revolver made during its production run between 1991 and 1998 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Model 940 has always been a favorite choice among concealed carry owners and revolver enthusiasts, featuring a snag-free concealed hammer. This revolver is a five-shot, moon clip-fed, J-Frame built on an all-steel frame offered in a few short barrel lengths. It was traditionally shipped with black, rubber grips and traditional channel sights. At one point, old school distributor Lew Horton ordered a run of these guns with wood grips chambered in .356 TSW. Smith & Wesson produced these from 1991-1998. All models had the centennial frame with a concealed hammer and double-action-only trigger.
This gun is light, compact, easy to carry, snag-free, and enjoys an excellent power to weight ratio. It’s easy to operate and renowned for reliability. Among the small revolvers, it has been called a personal favorite of many infamous shooting enthusiasts.
