SMITH & WESSON .32 S&W 4th Model DA Pocket Carry SELF DEFENSE Revolver C&R
Turn of the Century .32 S&W Conceal & Carry Revolver
Here we present a C&R Smith & Wesson Double Action Top Break Revolver in .32 S&W, made circa the turn of the Century in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Fourth Model revolver was manufactured between 1883 and 1909, with an impressive total of about 240,000 pieces produced. This particular model had serial numbers starting at 43,406 and went up to around 282,999.
Some notable improvements for this model included a redesigned trigger guard and some internal tweaks to the sear and cylinder stop, making it more reliable and user-friendly. Interestingly, by the time production wrapped up on the Fourth Model, about 10,000 of the Fifth Model revolvers incorporated parts from both models.
Buyers had the option of longer barrels, with choices for 8-inch and 10-inch lengths, adding to the versatility of the revolver. This gun would have been a great companion—perfect for wearing in a small belt holster or slipping into a pocket for self-defense. Smith & Wesson has always been synonymous with quality, and this model was no exception, embodying the craftsmanship and reliability the brand is known for.
