SCARCE Iron Frame Antique COLT 1st Model .41 Cal. Rimfire DERINGER Pistol
Only 6,500 Made of this Desirable Iron Frame Colt Pistol
Here we present an antique Colt First Model Deringer Pistol, made circa 1880 in Hartford, Connecticut. Production was from 1870 through 1890 and only 6,500 were made, making this one of the lower production Colts for your collection. The Colt Deringer was a direct descendant of the National Arms Company’s No. 1 Deringer, which Colt purchased in 1870. This little pocket pistol has the distinction of being the very first single shot pistol made by Colt to that point.
It features factory engraving on its iron frame. The top of the barrel reads “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CT USA/NO. 1”.
The overall condition is good. Strong action. The bore is dark but good for its age. Nice all metal frame. Lightly engraved. Legible markings. Numbers match.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 2-1/2 inches.
Caliber: .41 Rimfire
Overall condition as seen in photos.
