Here we present a C&R DWM 1906 Commercial Luger Pistol, made circa 1906 in Berlin, Germany. This is a scarce variant with only about 4,000 made in 9mm (5,000 made in 7.65mm). This pistol has a grip safety and a polished bright lower safety position. BUG proofs on the sides of the toggle. The top of the toggle is marked “DWM”. The wooden magazine base is marked “Cal. 9m/m”. Commercial serial number placement. These were made for sale inside and outside of Germany. The Luger is certainly one of the most iconic firearms in history, made so by its association with Germany during both World Wars.
The overall condition is very good. Refinished. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The numbers match. The grips are solid.
