Product Description
REMINGTON Rolling Block Model No. 4 .32 CF TAKEDOWN Rifle C&R “BOY’S RIFLE”
SINGLE SHOT .32 Caliber Centerfire Rifle
Here we present a C&R Remington Rolling Block No. 4 Takedown Rifle in .32 Centerfire, manufactured between 1901 and 1910 in Ilion, New York. Production on the Number 4 began in 1890, but the “Takedown” feature was not introduced until 1901 and continued until the end of the production run in 1933. There was a total of approximately 356,000 of these rifles produced.
This rifle is the classic “boy’s” rifle. It was also Remington’s smallest and lightest Rolling Block. It also handily takes down into two pieces with just the flip of a lever, which changed over to a screw in 1926. Being a single shot, it naturally instills the “make your one shot count” mentality from a young age.
The overall condition is very good. Strong action. The bore is bright and sharply rifled. Solid stock, contains an average amount of wear. Markings are legible. This example has a smooth, even brown patina.
