Product Description
REMINGTON Model 95 Double DERINGER .41 Caliber Rimfire Type II C&R PISTOL
Over/Under .41 Caliber HIDEOUT/SELF DEFENSE Pistol
Here we present a C&R Remington Model 95 Double Deringer Type II with a production run from 1888 to 1911. The Double Deringer was made by Remington from 1865-1935, which is a testament to the design as well as Americans’ desire to carry a concealed weapon. The Deringer was sturdily built and simple in operation. A lever on the right side of the frame swings so that the barrels may open upward on a hinge for loading and unloading. There is a single firing pin that moves from one barrel to another with each cock.
Type II (also known as the Model 3): circa 1888-1911, about 80,000 produced, barrel marking changed to a single line on top of barrel and reads REMINGTON ARMS CO., ILION, N.Y.
The overall condition is very good. Original nickel finish. The action fully functions, although the firing pin does no appear to strike the upper barrel. Good grips. The bores have some shimmer remaining with visible rifling. Legible markings.
