RARE Belgian-Made SMITH & WESSON No 2 OLD ARMY Revolver .32 Rimfire Antique
European S&W Revolver!
Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 Old Army Revolver, made circa 1862 in Liege, Belgium. This is a wonderful, high-quality period copy of Smith & Wesson’s first “martial-sized” 6-shot revolver. It is unknown if this was a licensed copy or not, but it was made by a master craftsman or craftsmen in a city that is still among the world’s leading firearms manufacturers. The markings on the top of the barrel rib are for Smith & Wesson as are the patent dates on the cylinder. However, this one does not have the serial number on the bottom of the grip as one made by S&W in the US would have, and it has the additional proof markings of Belgium.
The overall condition is fine. Original blue and case colors. The action is strong and tight. The bore is semi-bright and in good shape with strong rifling. Both grips are firm, remaining in good shape. This is a rare and well-made European produced Smith & Wesson No. 2 Revolver!
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 6 inches.
Caliber: .32 Rimfire
Overall condition as seen in photos.
