NRA-Style Remington 03-A3 BOLT ACTION Rifle .30-06 Springfield Armory C&R
With LYMAN Receiver Peep Sight & Leather Sling
Here we present a C&R Remington Model 03-A3 Bolt Action Rifle, made in 1942 in Ilion, New York. This rifle was made during World War II and it saw arsenal refurbishment at Springfield Armory as seen by the “S.A./R” cartouche on the left side of the butt stock. The pistol grip is marked with the circled “P”. The barrel has the visible proof markings. Like the NRA models offered by Springfield during the pre-WW2 period of the 20s and 30s, this one is equipped with the receiver mounted Lyman 48 peep sight and a “half-stock” desired by hunters and precision shooters. This one also comes with a leather sling.
The overall condition is fine. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The stock is solid with clear markings. Remington marked barrel that is also war-dated. A fantastic rifle!
