Nice IVER JOHNSON ARMS Double Action “BOSTON BULL-DOG” .32 RF Revolver C&R
Circa the Early 1900s in Fitchburg, Massachusetts
Here we present a C&R Iver Johnson Double Action Revolver in .32 Centerfire, made circa the turn of the century in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson was a U.S. firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1871 to 1993. The company shared the same name as its founder, Norwegian-born Iver Johnson (1841–1895). Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The revolver was a small, sturdy, well-built self-defense weapon, ideal for potent conceal and carry in the closing decades of the tumultuous 19th Century continuing on into the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties.
The overall condition is nearing fine. Original nickel finish. The action fully functions, but the cylinder has some wiggle when locked up. The bore has dimmed with patches of pitting. Both grips are in good shape. Markings are legible. “BOSTON BULL-DOG” is marked atop the barrel.
