Nice HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON M922 .22 RF DOUBLE ACTION Revolver C&R PLINKER
ROARING TWENTIES Era TARGET / PLINKER Revolver
Here we present a C&R Harrington & Richardson Model 922 .22 Caliber Rimfire Double Action Revolver, made circa the 1930s-40s in Worcester, Massachusetts. The H&R Model 922 was manufactured between 1927 and 1982. The Model 922 was always looked at as an “economy” gun, but it was good enough to stay in production for 55 years. It is a simple 9-shot double action revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle rimfire with no loading gate or ejector. This would have been a great revolver for target practicing or just plinking at an old can.
This gun wasn’t as nicely finished as a Smith & Wesson or Colt of the same vintage, but still very well made, originally with good bluing, a case hardened hammer and real walnut grips, none of which you’ll find on an economy gun these days!
The overall condition is fine. Excellent action. The bore is bright and strongly rifled. Original blue finish. Some surface pitting is present on the left side of the barrel over the maker marks. Markings are legible. The grip is in good shape and remains solid.
