Product Description

MASSIVE Antique .69 CALIBER European MILITARY Pistol w Captive Ramrod

Dragoon Pistol from the Early-to-Mid 19th Century!

Here we present an antique European Military Pistol, made circa the 1830s. This is a massive sidearm that would have been a serious fighting pistol. It features an overall length of 15 ½ inches with a gaping .69 caliber bore. There is a stout rear sight built up on the barrel tang as well as a thick front sight blade. The ramrod is captive to prevent loss in the turmoil of the battlefield. The full-length stock is protected by a steel barrel band that acts as a cap. The pommel cap and other hardware is steel as well.

Markings abound, with “GF” within an oval being right over the breech, a boxed “S” set under the barrel, Roman numeral assembly markings throughout, a “P” on the side plate, crossed swords under the percussion bolster and over the side plate on the stock, “1SC” on the left stock flat, and “3AR.” stamped into the pommel cap.

The overall condition is fine. This pistol was left armory bright and it remains so. The action is as strong as ever. The bore is in great shape. Minimal wear is present on the stock. The left side of the stock is stamped “1SC” and crossed swords can be seen. This is a handsome piece indeed, add it to the collection today!

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 9 inches.

Caliber: .69 Percussion

Overall condition as seen in photos.
