Small Early 20th Century Conceal & Carry Revolver
Here we present an Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Double Action Hammerless Top Break Revolver in .32 S&W, made circa the early 20th Century in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense in the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties.
This revolver is chambered for 5 shots of .32 S&W. The action works in both double and single action. The top of the barrel is marked “IVER JOHNSON ARMS & CYCLE WORKS/FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A.” The grips are marked with the company owl’s face on either side.
The overall condition is near fine. The action is strong all around. The bore is bright throughout with nice rifling. The original nickel finish is reflective and vibrant. Both grips are firm and remain in very good shape. A neat little revolver from the 20th Century!
