HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON AUTOMATIC Top Break .32 Double Action C&R Revolver
Small Early 20th Century Conceal & Carry SELF DEFENSE Revolver
Here we present a C&R Harrington & Richardson Auto Ejecting Double Action Top Break Revolver, made circa 1905-1940 in Worcester, Massachusetts. In 1875 Gilbert Harrington and former Frank Wesson employee, William Augustus Richardson, formed the new Harrington & Richardson Company. In 1888 the firm was incorporated as The Harrington & Richardson Arms Company. Their original capital investment was $75,000. Harrington was president, Richardson was treasurer, and George F. Brooks was secretary.
This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense. It is chambered for 5 shots of .32 S&W, making it a small, concealable and effective self-defense revolver.
The action is strong. The bore is in good shape. This example’s numbers match. Both grips are good. The original finish has unfortunately been polished down. Here is a trusty revolver that would have given its user some much needed “pocket advantage”!
