Product Description
FACTORY BOXED German Made ROHM RG10 .22 Short Self Defense Revolver C&R
Fine Condition, Matching Serial Box, Blued
Here we present a C&R Factory Boxed RG10 Double Action Revolver manufactured by Röhm Gesellschaft in Germany circa the late 1950s. This little revolver in chambered in .22 Rimfire Short with a 2-1/2 inch barrel and white plastic grips.
Rohm revolvers gained some infamy after John Hinckley Jr. tried to kill the “Gipper” (a nickname President Ronald Reagan received when he played the role of George Gipp, famous as Notre Dame’s first All-American who tragically died of pneumonia in his senior year) with an RG14. Its little brother, the RG10, gets ignored in the shadow of the bigger brother’s infamy. These little guns reportedly sold for around ten bucks in the 1960s when they were first produced. For reference, a basic S&W went for about 60 dollars.
The overall condition is fine. Original blue finish. The action is excellent in double and single action modes. The bores is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. Numbers match. The box remains in very good condition and the serial number on the box matches the gun.
