Here we present an antique Pair of J. Stephens English Flintlock Pistols, made circa the early 1800s in London, England. These pistols would have been made for a military officer’s private purchase or as a set of duelers. These pistols have single set triggers, octagonal Damascus barrels, fine engraving, gold and platinum bands, platinum vents, and silver décor throughout. The locks are both signed “J. Stephens.” with “J. Stephens, Maker, Queen Street Bryanston Square LONDON.” signed on top of the barrels with gold and silver bands at the breech.

The overall condition is fine. Original finish with the exception of the replacement cock on one of the guns, which shows vivid case colors. The actions are excellent. The bores are in very good condition and smooth—one bore is larger than the other: one is .58 and the other is about .62 caliber. Solid stocks, showing use. A handsome set!
