Product Description
ENGLISH .61 Caliber “MANSTOPPER” PERCUSSION Belt Pistol
Attractive ENGRAVED English Officer’s Pistol
Here we present an antique British Belt Pistol, made circa the mid-1800s in Birmingham, England. This pistol features a nearly 8-1/2 inch octagonal barrel with a smooth bore in .61 caliber. It has a captive ramrod like various other martial pistols of the period, which was a welcome feature as many of these crucial pieces of kit were frequently lost when they were needed the most. Engraved back action lock. Engraved trigger guard.
The overall condition is good. Strong action. The bore is clear and remains in good shape for its age. This example sports a solid stock/grip with average handling wear and nice checkering. Small split at the right at the fore end. German silver bands at the breech end of the barrel.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 8-3/8 inches.
Caliber: .61 Percussion
Overall condition as seen in photos.
