Product Description

DENVER J.P. LOWER CASED ENGRAVED REM DERINGER

Rare Cased, Engraved Remington Double Deringer!

Here we present an Engraved Remington Double Deringer in .41 Rimfire, made circa the early 20th century in .41 caliber. The pistol features 50% engraving on the frame and barrel, the centerpiece of which is the gilt crane with its open wings. Floral scrolls are there to accent and zig-zag borders line the outside. The back strap has a cross-checked pattern with small flowers within. It comes in its original J.P. Lower & Son marked burl case. J. P. Lower was a famed Denver gunsmith, dealer and entrepreneur.

The overall condition is good. 50% of the nickel finish remains. The engravings are clear. The current grips are attractive faux-mother of pearl and a set of original hard rubber grips are included. The bores are fairly bright with thin rifling. The action remains excellent. Also included are the 14 antique .41 Rimfire cartridges for display purposes. These will need to be shipped separately. Here is a fantastic Remington set from Colorado from around the turn of the 19th to the 20th Century!

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 3 inches.

Overall condition as seen in photos.
