Colt SINGLE ACTION ARMY Black Powder .44 RUSSIAN WILD WEST Revolver Antique
1874 Manufactured SAA; U.S. Marked
Here we present an antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver, manufactured in 1874 in Hartford, Connecticut. The Colt “Peacemaker” was introduced in 1873 and has become one of the most iconic firearms in all of history, thanks to its widespread use by the U.S. military, civilians and, more recently, in Western films.
This one bears a “U.S.” acceptance marking on the left side of the frame and would have been chambered for .45 Colt. At some point this revolver was reconfigured to fire .44 S&W Russian.
The overall condition is good. Gray patina with worn markings. The action is strong, holding safety, half-, and full-cock notches; solid cylinder lockup. The bore is patinated with strong rifling. The grips are solid and smooth. The serial number on the frame is original and the others are numbered to match. “CT” and “US” are marked on either side of the grips.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 4-3/4 inches.
Caliber: .44 Russian
Overall condition as seen in photos.
