Here we present a J.M. Marlin Model 1893 Carbine in .32 Special, made circa 1922 to 1935 in New Haven, Connecticut. Marlin Firearms was founded in the 1870s by John Marlin and was one of Winchester’s biggest competitors for the lever action market in the late-19th and into the 20th Century. Marlin produced a large assortment of firearms such as lever-action rifles, pump-action shotguns and single shot rifles.
The Model 1893 represents Marlin’s first smokeless powder lever action rifle. It features a solid top frame with side ejection and a smooth action. The barrel is a medium weight round of 20 inches, chambered for the rifle/pistol cartridge .32 Special. This rifle was one of the most popular Marlin lever-action models ever made with over one million model 1893s manufactured. This one is in great shape and remains a classic!
