Product Description

Antique SILVER INLAID Ornate Spanish MIQUELET .69 Carbine w/FOLDING STOCK

Late 18th to Early 19th Century Miquelet Carbine

Here we present an antique Ornate Antique Silver Inlaid Ornate Spanish Miquelet Carbine with a folding stock, made circa the late 1700s to the early 1800s. This is a neat piece with a long belt hook. We imagine that its light weight, small stature, and folding stock was all directed to being able to carry this easily on the belt walking around or on horseback. Of course, it also lends itself to fitting in a smaller bag or case. Folding carbines have been used for centuries, never more so than now!

The overall condition is good. Original patina. The action will hold both half and full cock but can slip out of full cock. The bore is smooth and dim. The stock shows use. The folding aspect of the stock is functional. There is some minor play at the joint/hinge which is to be expected based on the mechanism and the age. A great example of a handy, fighting carbine from 200 years ago!

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 16-1/4 inches.

Caliber: .69

Overall condition as seen in photos.
