Product Description

Antique CASED PAIR of ENGRAVED Belgian Percussion Pistols Fitted Case

Engraved Locks & Hardware, Carved Stocks

Here we present Cased Set of Antique Dueling Pistols, made circa 1860 in Liege, Belgium. These guns feature Damascus twist, octagonal, rifled barrels in .44 caliber. There are front and rear sights on each pistol. Hand engraving on the breech of the barrels, barrel tangs, lock plates, hammers, pommel caps, and trigger guards. The stocks’ grips are deeply fluted for the purpose of grip and the aesthetic. The fore ends are nicely carven with scrolls. Pistols are approximately 17 inches in overall length with 10 ½ inch barrels. The case is about 11 ½” x 18 ½”.

The overall condition of both pistols is fine. Damascus twist pattern remains visible on the barrels. Clear engravings. The actions are excellent, crisp, and strong. The bores are patinated and in very good shape with nice rifling. The stocks are wonderfully carved and fluted and show little use. Original varnish. The case is in very good condition, everything is fitted to a place. This set comes with a ramming/cleaning rod, mallet, ball starter, oil bottle, powder flask, dipper, brush, patch jap, nipple wrench/screw driver combination. The ball mold is absent. This is a handsome set of pistols and accoutrements that would look terrific on display in an office, study, or library.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrels are 10-1/2 inches.

Calibers: .44 Percussion

Overall condition as seen in photos.
