Here we present a US Army Hatchet by W.B. Farrell Associates Inc, made in 1942 in Wayne, Michigan. Used during the Second World War by U.S. troops for setting up camp, building covered positions, and even as a weapon.
The overall condition is good. Original finishes and patina. The top of the handle has shrunk and would need refitting to the axe head but is in good condition. The canvas shows use and remains in nice shape with original markings, including “US” on the front of the flap and “W.B. FARRELL ASSOC. INC.” on the back under the hanger.
