1920s Sidearm Made for Export Post-Great War
Here we present a C&R 1920 Commercial DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Luger Pistol, made circa the 1920s in Berlin, Germany.
The “Crown over N” proof mark is on this pistol. The Crown over N is a German pre-World War II proof mark used before April 1, 1940. The “N” indicates that the gun has been proofed with “nitro” or smokeless powder. The “GERMANY” marking indicates that this was a gun that was exported, likely to the US during this interwar period.
The overall condition is fine. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The grips show some wear and remain in very good condition. The numbers match. This one comes with two additional magazines.
