1910 WINCHESTER Model 1894 Lever Action .38-55 WCF C&R Saddle Ring CARBINE
½ Mag Repeater Made in 1910 in New Haven, Connecticut
Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Carbine, made in 1910 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle and .38-55 was its first chambering before the still popular .30-30 was invented and the rifle chambered for it.
This Model 1894 features a 20-inch round barrel chambered in .38-55 WCF with a half-length magazine.
The overall condition is good+. The action is excellent. The bore is reflective with thin rifling. The stock is smooth and solid. This is a light and handy saddle ring carbine in a “medium” bore cartridge!
This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
