18th Century BRITISH Antique MEMORY of LONDON FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS PISTOL
The Original Stagecoach and Naval Ship Boarding Gun
Here we present an antique Michael Memory Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol, made circa the mid to late-1700s in London, England. Michael Memory is listed as an active gunmaker in the second half of the 1700s working out of London. This pistol would have been around during British colonialism and for the Revolutionary War. This blunderbuss style of pistol came into vogue in the mid-1700s. The captain of the U.S.S. Constitution (you may know that fine old ship as “Old Ironsides”) owned a pair of these in a cased set.
The condition is good. Patina throughout. The action is strong. The bore is in good shape and is smooth. The stock has a repaired crack on the underside and is otherwise solid.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
