Product Description
Antique U.S. Army COLT Model 1901 .38 Cal. LONG COLT Double Action REVOLVER
Update to the Model 1892 Used by the US Military
Here we present an antique U.S. Colt Model 1901 U.S. Army Double Action Revolver, made in 1898 by the Colt Manufacturing Company in Hartford, Connecticut. This is one of the upgrades of the Colt Model 1892 series of U.S. Army revolvers with a production run from 1892 through 1907. In fact, this used to be one of the previous models until it was sent back to Colt for the upgrade, at which point the new model designation was roll marked on the bottom of the grip frame.
The overall condition is near fine. Original blue preserved. Excellent action. Bright and nicely rifled bore. Both grips have been sanded and are a bit shy to the frame, though still solid. Sharp markings thought. Numbers match. “R.A.C.” marked right grip, the cylinder, and frame.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 6 inches.
Caliber: .38 Long Colt
Overall condition as seen in photos.
